October 10 Manitoba draw invited 193 skilled worker candidates to apply for provincial nomination

In the recent provincial draw held on October 10, the province of Manitoba issued a total of 193 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) to immigration candidates to apply for their provincial nomination program for the Canadian permanent residence.

These invitations were issued to only those candidates who have their profiles already registered under Skilled Workers in Manitoba, Skilled Workers Overseas, or International Education Stream of Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP).

October 10 draw brings the total number of LAAs issued by the MPNP so far in 2019 to 6,574 to promising immigration aspirants in these three pathways.

Of the 193 LAAs issued in October 10 draw, 24 went to candidates with a valid profile in the federal Express Entry system.

The Express Entry system is Canada’s primary source of skilled foreign workers and manages the profiles of candidates for three Federal High Skilled economic class immigration programs:  the Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class and Canadian Experience Class.

The Express Entry candidates, who receive a provincial nomination, are also awarded an additional 600 points toward their CRS scores thereby receiving a guaranteed invitation to apply from Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) in subsequent Express Entry Draw.

In order to be considered for the MPNP, the Express Entry candidates need to have eligible work experience in one of Manitoba’s in-demand occupations, among other requirements.  They must also submit a separate expression of interest (EOI) with the MPNP.
