Latest Express Entry draw issued 3,200 invitations to immigration candidates to apply for Canadian permanent residence
Express Entry Draw #132: December 11, 2019
Canada issued another 3200 invites to Express Entry candidates to apply for Canadian permanent residence in the latest Express Entry draw held on Wednesday, December 11.
The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score cut-off threshold for December 11 draw was 472 points – an increase of one point on the previous draw which occurred on November 27.
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) applied a tie break rule in the December 11 draw; and the time stamp used was December 6, 2019, at 03:03:49 UTC. This means that all candidates with a minimum CRS score of 472 and above, who submitted their profile in the Express Entry pool before this date and time received an ITA.
In the December 11 invitation round, the total number of invitations to apply (ITAs) issued was lowered to 3,200. This was a drop of 400 from the previous draw held on November 27.
There are a range of factors that may influence the CRS cut-off score, including the number of candidates invited, the time lapse between two draws, the number of new candidates entering the pool, among other factors.
IRCC has now issued 82,100 invites through the federal Express Entry system so far this year, against a high-skilled immigration admission target of 81,400.
The candidates, who received ITAs in the December 11 draw, now have 60 days to submit their complete application for Canadian permanent residence to IRCC.
